Transitions Radio Magazine is a Santa Fe-based new paradigm program of music, featured guest interviews and conversation focused on socially conscious issues and resources for a better world.
It airs Sunday mornings on KBAC FM 98.1 Radio Free Santa Fe. Alan also is involved in various multimedia projects, including the recent launch of MEDIA21ST, LLC, a company that develops, produces, and distributes socially-responsible and environmentally-conscious media/communications/entertainment products for radio, the Internet, TV, print and direct consumer mediums.
Levi Ben-Shmuel is the associate producer and co-host of Transitions Radio Magazine. Levi’s road to radio was unusual. After spending close to 20 years in the computer business (plus earning a master’s degree in economic development from MIT during that time), he left his profession to create projects that fulfill his spiritual vision. While in business, Levi explored spiritual traditions from the East and West. A Tai Chi student since 1985, he taught Tai Chi and workshops on grounding in Israel and the U.S. In 1996, he started studying with his Kabbalah teacher Hadassah Ben-Yishai in Jerusalem.
Transitions Radio Magazine blends a varied pacing of special features, guest interviews, cutting-edge information and practical resources with an eclectic mix of contemporary music. Conversations center on topics of social responsibility and include interviews with best-selling authors and other prominent guests as well as lesser-known experts in their fields. Music crosses over typical industry classifications to provide a wide range of vocals and instrumentals, acoustic and electronic styles, from the familiar to the unique.
