Sita has been chanting in different venues for the past 20 years. She started within the Hindu tradition of kirtan and then expanded out to all traditions to reach broader audiences. She is a disciple of Neem Karoli Baba and has performed with Krishna Das, Ram Dass, and Bhagavan Das.

A native of Ireland, she feels that her voice comes out of her Celtic roots; its powerful resonance harkens to an ancient, earthy form of song.

“I work with chants from every tradition because it allows more people to relate to what I do, and also reveals that the chants all come from the same source, the same wellspring. Chanting is a devotional practice in that it makes conscious the longing in all of us to be united with the Beloved. At some point we realize, especially if we chant for longer periods of time, that there is no separation between ourselves and the deity or the energetics that symbolize the Beloved in our psyches. Chanting is like dropping a vessel into a deep well and bringing up an overflowing source of nourishment. This nourishment of sound feeds the soul as water and food feed the body. Through the chant we can pour all our longings, frustrations, grief, and joy into this mystical container called life, so it can be transformed into a nectar that is both sweet and powerful.  When your inner being is humming with music suddenly you find that the same music is outside and the separation between you and the outer disappears. After practicing law in New York for twelve years of his life, Mike realized that he didn’t really like being a lawyer, and moved to New Mexico in 1992,  publishing two books recounting his spiritual adventures and learning’s and in the process completed two national book signing tours.

He has had many jobs as many who move to New Mexico experience to survive, and so Mike waited tables and worked as a night watchman before eventually becoming administrator of the entire state court system.

At present, Mike serves as executive director of the New Mexico Sentencing Commission, the state’s Sex Offender Management Board and the Justice Information Sharing Council, which he chairs.  Very accomplished in his professional career and able to bring a sense of love and compassion to even these very serious halls of power and social responsibility, Mike heart and soul is focused on his undying love and passion for his musical expression, playing the piano, and his vision of touching audiences everywhere with his music.

As an active member of the clergy of Eckankar, a spiritual path that focuses on the light and sound as the twin pillars of divine connection to the heart of life, Mike still journals everyday and journeys both into the beyond and into his life in his body on a daily basis.

Sue was educated at the University of Maryland (Wiesbaden, Germany extension), and later at California State University, Long Beach. She is an adjunct lecturer specializing in pain management at the UC San Diego, Thornton and Hillcrest hospitals and for the International Harp Therapy Faculty in Richmond, VA. Tufts University Veterinary School hosted Sue as a speaker for its International Veterinary Symposium on Hospice Care for Animals. Additionally, the Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW), in Baltimore, MD, had Sue address their convention. Educators nation wide recognize and recommend her CDs for pets with separation anxiety, thunder phobia and various other behavior modification needs.

Sue’s most recent zoo work includes establishing a harp enrichment program for the San Diego Wild Animal Park (African and Asian elephants); San Diego Zoo (primates); and the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, MA (gorillas, zebras and giraffes).

Veterinarians, ranchers and animal shelters in Dallas, TX also use harp enrichment at their facilities to calm residents, eliminate negative behaviors (i.e. cribbing), and facilitate easier birthing.

Rescue facilities such as “Lions, Tigers and Bears” also invited Sue to work with their tigers and larger breed cats as prescribed enrichment.

The field trials of harp enrichment for 20 undomesticated Alaskan wolves continues to provide and education and enlightenment to viewers on Animal Planet.

The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases consulted with Sue regarding use of harp as enrichment for animals and published, with Sue Raimond as co-author. The results of the study on African green monkeys appeared in the Journal of Medical Primatology, April 2007.

Balancing her schedule, Sue continues in her 21st year as a firefighter/EMT; and continues her work as author, film maker, and composer with over 13 CDs, books and films to her credit. Recently, Sue accepted the position of consultant for the National Standard Board for Therapeutic Musicians with work in progress during 2008.

Sue will be a presenter at the upcoming Third International Conference on Sound Healing and speaks with me about her work with animals and the remarkable power of music and it’s positive effects on well being and retraining negative behavior.

Through the concept of vocal coherence, Sharry has been able to demonstrate that the human voice is a unique frequency representation of the structural and biochemical aspects of the body.  Courses developed from the technology, pioneered by Sharry, is the genesis of a three level certificate course offered by Hocking College’s Allied Health Program.  Last year Steve Halpern announced that Edward’s’ courses are the only credit certificate program dedicated to SOUND HEALING in the United States.

An international speaker, author and leader in the field of SOUND HEALTH, Sharry is regularly invited to lecture and conduct workshops for professionals concerning the body’s own unique ability, through voice spectral analysis, to diagnose and prescribe for itself. Her research began nineteen years when she discovered her unusual hearing and vocal abilities. Tests revealed Sharry could hear sounds beyond the normal range of human hearing. The audiologist also found Sharry could vocally produce sine waves.  This incident led Sharrys’ first project which revealed her ability to control a person’s blood pressure by as much as 32 points using her voice.

When Sharry continued the studies, she eventually found it necessary to form the research-based company, Sound Health Alternative & Resource Center International, Inc., in order to facilitate the myriad of interested researchers.

Sharry structured Creating Sound Environments classes to teach others the technique of BIOACOUSTICS.  Recent interest in this study of Sound Health has been so great that to date there are over 3000 people who have taken the classes, and there are several certified instructors besides Edward’s.

Sharry travels extensively around the world to teach classes and workshops in BIOACOUSTICS and to lecture at conferences, conventions, and expositions. A summa cum laude graduate of Ohio University in interpersonal communication and education, Sharry is pursuing a doctorate.

Richard is an American practitioner of the Vajrayana school of Tibetan Buddhism and a long time pilgrim of sacred sites and teachings across Asia. Having studied Eastern philosophy for over thirty years, Richard was granted refuge in the Buddha from His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa while in Tibet. He teaches Buddhist Dharma and conducts ‘Vibrational Sound Healing Workshops,’ using traditional Himalayan instruments.
