The Kindness of Contemplation

davidsable1.jpgJeffrey converses with Spiritual Educator David Sable who began his career writing educational children’s stories and conducting research on new learning technologies in New York City.

Today he works as a management consultant, teaches university courses relating spirituality to work, and conducts research on the impact of reflective practices on critical thinking in a PhD program at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

In 2003 David was awarded a university grant at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax to study contemplative practice in higher education and has presented his work in the academic community and professional workshops in the U.S. and Canada. Recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Centre for Spirituality and the Workplace at St. Mary’s University, David is also an authorized teacher of Buddhism and meditation.

David was formerly the Director of the Shambhala Meditation Center in Washington D.C. and studied Sanskrit and Comparative Religion at Columbia University in New York.

David is a meditation teacher in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and shares with us in this special edition of The Omni Art Salon his special techniques in contemplative meditation.

Listen to a lovely conversation with a gentle loving soul who practices the path of life with authenticity and grace.
